Looking for Summer Camps in Gulfport and surrounding areas for your kids? You've come to the right place!

Summer camps are a great way for your children to try new things, nurture unique interests, meet new friends, stretch their creativity, and have tons of FUN all summer long!!! You're guaranteed to find something on this list that your kids will be excited about!

Summer Camps at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center

Weekly May 30 - July 28   Ages 4-11

Weekly camps provide a variety of fun, educational topics including Wacky Fun STEM Camp, Slime Science, Pretty in Pink Princess Camp, Pint Size Pirates, Superheroes Camp and more! 

We offer two WINGS Performing Arts Theatre Camps this summer - Matilda the Musical JR and Disney’s Moana JR.

Mississippi MATRIX Volleyball Summer Camps

May 2nd - July 6th    May 7th - July 9th   Ages 5 -16

Mississippi MATRIX Volleyball Camps provide an opportunity for your young player to further their experience and training in volleyball through instruction from qualified coaches all while have a fun time doing it. 

The Grassroots Youth Volleyball Camp is a great beginner program for younger age groups while the Training Academy and Boys Training Volleyball Camps are for student athletes who need help to enhance the skill levels and fundamentals.

Glitter on the Gulf Kids Summer Camp

May 29th - June 2th   June 5th - 7th   Ages 5 & up

Come travel the beaches with us! Each day the camp will be doing different designs that incorporate the beach or tropical places. They will be doing a variety of projects throughout the summer camps with each class being different. Your child will also be able to bring home their designs.

SUMMER RECREATION & ADVENTURE CAMP Ages 5 - 12   June 12 - 16, June 19 - 23   Explore the great outdoors and play! The Summer Recreation & Adventure Camp combines rock climbing instruction, team building, and a nature tour with basketball, soccer, dodgeball and kickball, and fun crafts like creating windchimes and tie-dye.

2023 Discovery Camps   June   Ages 5 - 14   All children participating in camps will explore the natural world through discovery and guided hands-on activities. Our themes and activities revolve around the Pascagoula River and local bayou ecosystem. Each camper will receive a summer camp tee shirt and take home a sack filled with memories and artifacts!

Sharkheads Shark Fest   June 5th - 9th, June 12th - 16th   Grades 7th - 12th - Spend a week learning all about one of the ocean’s apex predators. Shark Fest participants may encounter Atlantic sharpnose, bonnethead, blacktip, spinner, hammerhead and bull sharks. Board vessels to long line for sharks and participate in shark research with our USM scientists by catching, tagging and releasing sharks.

Sea Camp 2023: Magic of the Ocean! - June 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-30 Grades Rising 1st - 6th - Participants explore coastal salt marshes with educators aboard the university research vessel, the Miss Peetsy B. Activities include live animal encounters with coastal wildlife and opportunities to fish, crab, seine and sieve. Students will participate in field trips appropriate for their ages, such as exploring beach habitats.

Island Adventure Camp - July 5th - 7th Grades 4th - 12th - This three-day camp will take campers to explore the sandy beaches of some of the Northern Gulf of Mexico's most important islands. Campers will learn about island ecology and the geography of Mississippi's islands. The adventure embarks on beach days and marsh tours before setting out later in the week to explore Deer Island and Cat Island and learn about Coastal Preserves.

Ocean Science and Technology Camp - July 10th -14th Grades7th-12th - This week-long day camp offers 7th - 12th grade students an in depth journey into ocean sciences and state-of-the-art equipment and technology used by research scientists to explore the ocean! Students will take a journey onboard a USM Research Vessel, explore a world-class research facility, and work on hands on autonomous vehicles in this summer camp experience.

Camp Aqua: Seaside Summer - Guppies Age 7 - 10, Groupers Age 11 - 14 - Camp Aqua has all the fun for your 7-14 year old. Campers will spend a week at Mississippi Aquarium encountering animals, assisting in animal enrichment, learning about local habitats, and venturing out to Ship Island across the Mississippi Sound. Camp Aqua: Seaside Summer is a week long experience happening June 12-16, 19-23, 26-30 & July 10-14, 17-21, 24-28. Camp begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.

CULINARY CAMP SESSION 1   June 6 - 9   Ages 9 -13  This is a four day interactive cooking camp encompassing both savory and sweet cooking. Everything is made from scratch in our state-of-the-art kitchens. Students will learn techniques for proper cooking & baking skills from award winning chefs. They will also focus on safety while cooking in the kitchen for children. Each child is put into groups of two and will get to eat all that they create. 

CULINARY CAMP SESSION 2   June 13 - 16   Ages 9 -13  This is a four day interactive cooking camp encompassing both savory and sweet cooking. They will also focus on safety while cooking in the kitchen for children. Each child is put into groups of two and will get to eat all that they create. 

Culinary Connection  June 13 - 16   Who ever said that playing with your food is a bad thing? Chefs will explore basic kitchen safety, learn to make proper measurements while cooking, and will learn the science behind cooking! Students will also make their own recipes and take home extras to share with their families when available. With supervision from camp counselors, campers will use small toaster ovens, hotplates, kitchen utensils, and more as they prepare their dishes.

Cooking in STEM   June 20 - 23   When learning to cook, there are recipes and techniques everyone should know to be successful in the kitchen. During this deliciously good class, kid chefs will get an introduction to cooking some of their all-time favorites, how to use an assortment of kitchen tools, knives and about kitchen safety. Our goal after this class is to have your young chef surprise your family with breakfast on Sunday morning or prepare a dinner for you!

Dolce Bakeshop Kids’ Baking Camps  Ages 8 - 12   June 6  - 9, 13 - 16, 27 - 30   Camps run from Tuesday - Friday, 9 am to 3 pm with morning and afternoon snacks provided. They will learn everything from kitchen safety to measuring and handling ingredients to decorating their own cakes! The kids will be hands-on all week long and will get to enjoy the fruits of their labor at snack time everyday. 

ROBOTICS & TECHNOLOGY CAMP SESSION 1  Ages 10 - 15   June 5 - 9  The camp has been amazing since it started several years ago. This camp allows students to design & build a VEX robot with the latest technology, then compete as a team against robots created by other teams within the camp. The camp will also teach leadership and teamwork skills as well as the basics of mechanics in robotics.

ROBOTICS & TECHNOLOGY CAMP SESSION 2  Ages 10 - 15   June 12 - 16   The camp has been amazing since it started several years ago. This camp allows students to design & build a VEX robot with the latest technology, then compete as a team against robots created by other teams within the camp. The camp will also teach leadership and teamwork skills as well as the basics of mechanics in robotics.

Astro Camp  June 12-16, June 19 - 23  Ages 7 - 11   Sessions are aligned with NASA’s current priorities:  Aeronautics, Technology, Solar Systems & Beyond, Earth Right Now, International Space Station, and Journey to Mars. Our vision is to inspire the next generation of scientists, researchers, and engineers to pursue careers in STEM fields.  Astro Camp® is an important “stepping stone” in developing our future workforce! 

Artemis Camp  June 12 - 16   Ages 12 - 15   Artemis campers will explore the scientific aspects of what it will take for Earthlings to return to the moon and on to Mars. Not only will we need to know about space travel we will need geologists, roboticist, chemists, computer technologists, and more.

Nexus 1 Camp - June 12 - 16   Ages 12 - 15   NEXUS 1 Robotics Camp at INFINITY Science Center is a beginning robotics camp supported by the Stennis Naval Research Laboratories.  Campers will explore the world of Naval Robotics, various challenges, and hands-on experience with robotics.  Campers will work through real-world challenges and solve those challenges through remote-controlled robotics coded and created by them.

Nexus 2 Camp - June 19 - 23   Ages 12 - 15   NEXUS Advanced Robotics Camp at INFINITY Science Center is for previous NEXUS campers to continue their learning with the support of INFINITY educators and the Stennis Naval Research Laboratories staff.  Campers will go deeper into building and coding technologies that are used in the world of Naval Robotics. Campers will have the opportunity to meet new challenges with a continued hands-on experience with robotics.  This camp will prepare the campers for real-world challenges and better prepare them for wider career choices in the future.**** Registering campers MUST have completed NEXUS 1 camp to attend NEXUS Advanced Robotics Camp*******

Exploring the Future in STEAM@Harrison Central High  May 30 - June 2  Learn how to be a Robotics Engineer and build a robot out of cardboard, battery and wires. Everyone loves music, learning how instruments vibrate and make music and become a recording artist and record your own song as you learn about being a music engineer. Then wrap up the week looking at chemical engineering and reactions that are safe and fun. 

Future Girl Engineers   May 30 - June 2  While STEM and STEAM fields are growing exponentially every year, women still only make up less than one-third of the workforce. These summer camps are designed to encourage more girls to pursue STEM and STEAM careers by presenting activities that are fun, challenging and exciting. *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home.*

Junior Camps - Intro to STEAM   June 6 - 9   Ages 6 - 8   Create a Lego Marble Run, use ramps, jumps as you construct your maze, Learn how to be a Robotics Engineer and build a robot to of cardboard, battery and wires. Design and create your own acrylic key tags and explore engineering concepts. *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home*

Intro to Coding/Robotics    June 13 - 16   Dive into the world of Coding and Robotics! Learn how to program your own Robot using CODE.org and VEX.VR robots. Use them to explore playground mazes, collect and recycle trash in the sea, and help the environment by recycling. Get a head start in computer programming and virtual robotics in this exciting camp! Using drag and drop commands, teach your own Virtual VEX Robot to perform tasks like solving mazes, destroying building, and so much more! *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home.*

Machines in STEM   June 27 - 30   Design and build a Paper Roller Coaster and learn about kinetic and potential energy. Build a speed boat with cardboard and a rubber band, and then build a cardboard robot that will move across the table and race a classmate to the finish line. *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home.*

Kroc Summer Camp   Weekly in June & July   Ages 5 - 12 - Camp Kroc is a unique opportunity to learn new life skills, and a place to make new friends. For parents, Day Camp does more than just provide peace of mind that your children are well cared for, it also provides assurance that your children continue to develop their talents and abilities during the summer months. Motivated by God's love, our program strives to develop the whole child-within their environment-to help them grow physically, mentally, and socially.    

Taconi (OS) Summer Camp   May 30 - July 28   Ages 5 - 12 - The Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA offers full day camp programs coast-wide at three different locations: Taconi (Ocean Springs), Vancleave, Back Bay Elementary (Biloxi), Weekly Summer Camp sessions begin the Tuesday after Memorial Day each year and run through the end of July. The number of weekly sessions offered each year varies based on the start dates of the school year and the site.

From field trips, arts and crafts, to swimming, to fitness, there is something fun for all. Through our camps we offer enrichment activities focusing on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities for campers. Your child will have a memorable summer and make lifelong friendships.

Future Entrepreneurs   July 11 - 14   Create your own Etsy Shop, make a business plan to promote a product that you create. Design a tote bag, a travel game pack, sublimate a puzzle with your favorite picture and use your engineering skills to build a solar one charger while researching alternative energy sources. *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home.*

City of Gulfport Kids Summer Camp   June 5 - July 21  Ages 5 - 12  This year's summer camp activities will include weekly field trips, guest speakers, swimming, sports, arts & crafts, and many other exciting and creative events. The Gulfport Department of Leisure Services is committed to providing children with a meaningful educational, social, and recreational summer experience at minimal cost for the parent or guardian. Camp will take place in 1 week sessions. 

FOOTBALL OL/DL CAMP   Ages 12 - 18  June 5   Become a better offensive and/or defensive lineman with instruction from the Gulf Coast coaching staff.

FOOTBALL SKILLS CAMP   Ages 12 - 18  June 6  Become a better skill player on offense and/or defense with instruction from the Gulf Coast coaching staff. 

FOOTBALL KIDS CAMP  Ages 6 - 11   June 7   Learn the fundamentals of football from the Gulf Coast coaching staff.

Youth Tennis Skill Camp  Ages 8 -12  June 5 - 9  The fundamental skills that will be expected to play tennis at the high school level will be taught. Run by Gautier High School head tennis coach, the camp is open to children ages 8-12 who plan to attend any high school are welcome. 

BASEBALL KIDS CAMP Ages 5 -12  June 19 - 21   Learn the fundamentals of baseball from the Gulf Coast coaching staff. 

Youth Volleyball Skill Camp  Ages 8 - 12   June 5 - 9 The fundamental skills that will be expected to play volleyball at the high school level will be taught. Run by Gautier High School head volleyball coach and welcomes children ages 8-12 are welcome.

Gulfport Police Department's Kids Fishing Camp  Ages 9 - 13  June 12 - 16, July 3 - July 7   The Gulfport Police Department is offering three, one week youth fishing camps. Participants are instructed on the fundamentals of fishing or given new pointers to those already familiar with the sport. The campers will also learn about the fishing culture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. 

MATRIX Grassroots Youth Volleyball Camp  For Boys and Girls   Ages 5 - 10 May 7 - July 9   A great beginners program for younger age groups to learn the skills and fundamentals of volleyball all while having a fun time doing it! Free T-shirt included. 2:00pm to 3:30pm

MATRIX Training Academy Volleyball Camp   For Girls   Ages 11-15  May 2 - July 6   Learn how to play the game and have fun all at the same time. For the student athletes that may not be able to manage a travel schedule or needs to work on enhancing their volleyball skills and fundamentals Training Academy is just for you. Free T-shirt included. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00pm-7:30pm.

MATRIX Boys Training Volleyball Camp   For Boys  Ages 11-16   May 7 - July 9   Boys will be taught or have a chance to work on enhancingtheir volleyball skills and fundamentals. We focus on building individual skills as well as 6v6 game-like experience. Free T-shirt included. Sundays, 5:30pm-7:00pm

A MAGICAL SUMMER   Ages 6 - 10   June 26 - 30   Let your little star shine on our stage this magical summer. At camp students entering 1st grade through 4th grade can take voice, acting and dance all culminating in a community performance at the end of the week.

A SPOOKTACULAR SUMMER   Ages 10 - 17   June 26 - 30   Come have a spooky fun summer as we celebrate the Addams family, Hocus Pocus, and things that go bump in the night. Participants, going into 5th through 12th grade, will take acting, voice, and dance classes culminating in a wicked fun community performance to be enjoyed by all.

Photography and Media   June 6 - 9, July 18 - 21  Grab your camera and come learn the basics of photography! We'll be snapping pictures of people, places, and things throughout the week and learning dos and fonts of a small photography business. By mastering our camera's manual mode, we'll be on our way to composing pieces of art. *All campers are asked to bring a lunch from home.* 

Arts- 4 -Autism Camp   June 12 - June 16   Ages 6 - 12  Arts-4-Autism Camp is a music therapy and art camp for students focusing on meeting social and sensory needs while providing opportunities for creative expression, communication, and education. This camp creates a space, in which people with autism feel at home. It also provides a unique social environment where campers are able to thrive.  

Sensory Summer Camp   July 3 & 5 - 7   Ages 6 - 12 Sensory Summer is a camp focused on meeting the sensory needs of the each camper through sensory play, sensory integration art & music activities, and sesnory breaks. This camp creates a space, in which people with disabilities feel at home. It also provides a unique social environment where campers are able to thrive. 

Music & Art Camp   July 10 - July 14  Ages 6 - 12  This week will be packed with music and art projects to explore and experience the arts in creative ways. We'll paint, mold clay, write songs, sing, play, and more. We will even have a personal art exhibit to close out camp. 

Exploring The Music Camp   July 17 - July 19    Ages 8 - 12   Do you have a young musician interested in diving deeper into the world of music? Then this is the camp for them! Activities will include learning how to use Garageband, making original music, exploring both beat boxing and body percussion, and more. 

Art Exploration Summer Camp  June 5 - 9  Ages 6 - 10   Students will spend the week with Ms. Carmen  learning to drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage making in this class for beginning artists.  This class is highly popular throughout the school year, and is now available for summer!

Art Journaling for Tweens Summer Camp   June 12 - 16  Ages 9 - 12 Students will customize the cover and keep an art journal filled with writing, sketches, ideas, and artwork. Collage, drawing, painting techniques and journal prompts will be given for this class. **Students must bring a hard backed sketchbook with unlined pages.**

Art In Nature Summer Camp   June 19 - 23  Ages 7 - 11 Students will spend the week with Ms. Carmen focusing on integrating the natural world into their artwork.  They will gather objects from the trails to use as drawing and painting tools, create eco prints using natural pigments from leaves and fruits, make handmade paper, and hike the nature trails, and keep a sketchbook inspired by the world around us.  A fantastic (and fun!)  way to integrate  the local flora and fauna into art education.  A sketchbook will be provided.
